Next steps for authors
Provisionally accepted papers
Your submission has been provisionally accepted to appear in the conference. Provided that you are able to submit by 5 June 2026 a revised version of your paper that adequately addresses the feedback in the reviews which are available in the system, we will cordially invite you to present your results at the ANTS XVII conference, 6 - 10 July 2026 at Rijksuniversiteit Groningen, The Netherlands.
Note that this revision need not be the final version of your manuscript; you will have a further opportunity to make further (very minor) revisions after the conference.
As indicated in the call for papers, the ANTS XVII proceedings will be published as a topical collection in Research in Number Theory. In order for your manuscript to be included in these proceedings, the following conditions must be met.
(1) One of the authors must give a 20 minute presentation of the results in your manuscript at ANTS XVII. We strongly prefer for this to be an in-person presentation and not a remote presentation. In case financial support (such as a registration fee waiver or travel or accommodation support) is necessary for the presenting author to be present, note that the deadline for requesting support is very soon: 25 April 2026.
(2) The final version of your manuscript, including latex source, must be submitted by 30 September 2026.
(3) Each author must sign the license agreement that will be provided to you by SpringerNature. The details of this license agreement will depend on your location and whether your article is published open access or not; if the corresponding author's primary institution has an OA agreement with Springer your article will automatically be published open access at no cost to you, see here for more information.
(4) The corresponding author must provide feedback on pre-publication proofs in a timely manner. You are not required to accept the initial set of proofs, you may request changes, and you will have an opportunity to review those changes, but it is essential that you respond promptly. Failure to respond for more than two weeks will result in your article being removed from the proceedings.
We apologize for the short timeframe; and we will do our best to answer any questions you may have. If you don't think you can satisfy these conditions, please let us know and your paper will be withdrawn.
If you have not already done so, we encourage you to register for the conference and make travel arrangements as soon as possible. See the conference website for the registration link and suggestions for accommodation.
When you are ready (and in any case before 5 June), please upload your revision to the new field "Conference pdf" in the review system.
You will need to write a comment to the reviewers with a summary of changes and an explanation of departures, if any, from the reviewer recommendations.
Contact pcchairs@antsxvii.org with any questions or concerns.
Conditionally accepted papers
Your submission has been conditionally accepted to appear in the conference. Conditional acceptance means that you will receive a binding list of requirements that you should satisfy in updating your paper. You will be assisted by a PC member functioning as shepherd for your paper. Your shepherd will post this list in the discussions on the submission server in the next few days. You can communicate with them and other reviewers through the submission system. You will see their posts authored by "shepherd", this person will stay anonymous to you. When you have a revised version of your paper, use the discussion interface to upload it (there is a paperclip symbol where you can attach files). Your shepherd will want to see the new version, an explanation of how you addressed the reviews, and possibly a latex-diff or such to quickly see where the changes happened. Please adhere to the timelines set by the shepherd. Typically this process needs another round of edits; think of "conditional acceptance" of somewhere between minor and major revision for a journal. Provided that you submit by the deadlines set by the shepherd a revised version that satisfies the requirements set by the shepherd, and by 5 June 2026 a version that addresses all the feedback by the reviewers, we will cordially invite you to present your results at the ANTS XVII conference, 6 - 10 July 2026 at Rijksuniversiteit Groningen, The Netherlands.

Rejected papers
We are sorry your submission was rejected, and will not appear in the conference. We received many excellent submissions this year, and the programme committee had to make some difficult decisions. The referee reports for your submission are available in the system; you may find them of use in revising the article for resubmission elsewhere. While we understand this news may be disappointing, we hope that you will still consider attending ANTS XVII. We would be very happy to have you join us in Groningen in July.
If you consider attending ANTS XVII, we encourage you to register for the conference and make travel arrangements as soon as possible. See the conference website for the registration link and suggestions for accommodation.
