There are some further changes that need to be made to your article before it can be published: you need to add (1) a competing interest statement, and (2) a data availability statement, both of which can placed at the end of the article (just before the references). You will also need to identify (3) a corresponding author, and (4) keywords and codes from the MSC subject classification.
(1) You can find more information about the competing interest statement here. If none of the authors have any competing interests (which we typically expect to be the case), you can simply write
" The authors have no competing interests to declare that are relevant to the content of this article. "
See the link above for other options (your article will still be published if you have competing interests, this is simply a disclosure requirement).(2) You can find more information about the data availability statement here. Note that this specifically refers to data (as opposed to software), but if there is data included in a GitHub or other public repository related to your paper, you should cite it here. There is no need to change citations you may have made earlier, but the data availability statement needs to be clearly visible at the end of the article. If you have no relevant data to cite you can simply write
" No datasets were generated or analysed during the current study. "
There is currently no dedicated LaTeX style file for RNT. You can keep your article in amsart format or use the Springer Nature LaTeX template. Springer will need to process the files, and the easier you make that for them, the smaller the chance that things will go wrong. Therefore,
- please create one zip file without any subfolders.
- Include the class file (.cls) in your zip file if you know how to do that.
- It is safest to have the entire paper in a single .tex file including the bibliography data. In particular, please do not use \input{...} to include other tex files. If using bibtex, make sure to provide the .bbl and .bst files in the zip file or (safer) move the contents of your bibliography into your .tex file in the appropriate way and check that it still looks good upon recompiling.
- Moreover, the less you use macros, extra packages, and LaTeX automation, the better.
- If you have LaTeX or TikZ code that computes a diagram or table, then it is better to write the results to a file and and add that output file to the source .zip file, with appropriate include statements in your .tex file (you don't want Springer to be put in the position of trying to debug your code when it breaks because of a change they had to make).
- Refrain from using custom fonts. Do not use manual skips to align equations.
(3) Please also identify one author as corresponding author, as well as their main affiliation. Some important advice when selecting the corresponding author: in case that some of your institutions have an open-access agreement with Springer, please note that these typically require that the corresponding author is at that institution and has it listed as their main affiliation. When using amsart, please indicate the corresponding author with
\author{AUTHOR NAME$^{\ast}$}
\address{NAME, AFFILIATION(S) AND CONTACT INFORMATION}
\thanks{$^\ast$Correspondence: ONE AFFILIATION AND CONTACT INFORMATION}Alternatively, if you switch to the Springer Nature LaTeX template, then you can simply use \author* instead of \author for the corresponding author.
(4) Be sure to include some keywords for indexing using the \keywords{} command in LaTeX, as well as the primary and up to five secondary MSC codes in arXiv format (e.g. "11G40 (Primary) 14G10, 14H25, 11Y16 (Secondary)").
Once you have made these changes, please go to your page on the submission server http://submissions.antsxvii.org and upload all relevant latex source files, along with a final PDF. Please mark the corresponding author, keywords, and MSC codes both in the article itself and on the submission server.
After September 30, we will send all the source files we have received to the RNT production team. If we do not receive source files from you by that date, we will assume you do not want your paper included in the proceedings (the conference version of your paper will remain available on the ANTS XVII website indefinitely).
At some point in October or November the corresponding author will receive a Consent to Publish form from SpringerNature that they will need to sign on behalf of all the authors. Papers whose corresponding author's primary institution has an Open Access agreement with Springer (see here) will be published under a Creative Commons license. Other papers will be published under a more restrictive license, but will be freely downloadable for 3 months from publication, and may be viewed online free of charge in perpetuity via SharedIt links (see here) that you are free to post on your web page or anywhere else you wish (including social media). We will post SharedIt links for all published articles on the ANTS XVII web page next to the conference version, so that people can easily find the published version.
Once the Consent to Publish form has been signed, your article will begin the production process and you will eventually be sent proofs to review (hopefully in November or early December). It is important that you respond to these review requests promptly, or contact us if that is not possible for some reason, so that we can let the production team know. If we do not hear from you for more than two weeks, we will assume you would prefer not to have your paper published and remove your article from the proceedings.
